Can I bring my dog?

Dogs* or any other animals are unfortunately not allowed on the walkway.

In addition to the hygiene aspect, the safety aspect for animals and humans plays a major role in the prohibition of animals on the walkway. Although most owners might act responsibly and keep an eye on their animals, dogs can show unexpected behavior towards strangers or other animals. Fear of heights can also trigger an uncontrolled flight response in dogs. Unfortunately, the narrow path width does not offer any retreat or escape option for animals or for people who are afraid of dogs.

*Exception: Disabled companion and assistance dogs**.

**For assistance dogs, persons accompanied by their dog must present a document from a health professional attesting to the person’s need (due to a disability, medical condition or mental health issue) and the animal’s usefulness in alleviating that need. They must also present information and documentation on the animal’s behaviour and the risk it presents in a public space such as the Sentier des cimes Laurentides (https://www.cdpdj.qc.ca/en/your-obligations/prohibited-grounds/handicap-animaux)

Is the Sentier des cimes Laurentides accessible with a wheelchair or a stroller?

The walkway and the panoramic tower have no obstacles and are therefore easily accessible with a wheelchair or a stroller.

With a maximum slope of 6%, the path has several areas with no inclination, where it is possible to rest.

During the winter season, walkway conditions may cause difficulty for wheelchair access.  Please contact us at 873-229-0363 to verify.

Is the trail open when it rains?

The Sentier des cimes is open all year round, find our opening hours for each season here.

In the event of special weather conditions, such as thunderstorms or high winds, or other situations beyond our control, such as a power failure, the site will be closed.

The announcement of the closure will be made on our Facebook page.

Can I fly a drone on the Sentier des cimes?

Everyone is allowed to take pictures and videos for private purposes on the Sentier des cimes. However, overflights and filming with drones are prohibited. In addition to environmental protection (noise caused by large drones, disturbance of strictly protected animal habitats during take-off, landing and flight of drones), this prohibition is also intended to protect our visitors from unwanted filming.

For photos and films made on the Sentier des cimes for commercial purposes, a filming permit is always required.

In winter, can I use crampons, winter boots with folding crampons or walking sticks?

No. Only rubber crampons are allowed, and only walking sticks with rubber or plastic tips are allowed so as not to damage the wooden structure.

The Treetop Walk is well maintained and monitored every day to ensure the best possible walking conditions; although we cannot guarantee that the surface is not slippery, every effort is made to keep it safe and easy to access.

Can I use in-line skates or my bike on the trail?

For safety reasons, you cannot access the path with in-line skates, skateboards, scooters or bicycles.

Can I smoke on the sentier des cimes?

Smoking is not allowed on the Sentier des cimes Laurentides. This may sound strange for an outdoor leisure activity, but remember: you are in a strictly protected area. Carelessly discarded cigarette butts are unwanted roommates that not only last a lifetime (2-7 years), but can also start forest fires.

Can I take a picnic lunch with me on the sentier des cimes?

Of course, food and drink that you bring with you are allowed. However, please note that everything you bring with you must be taken with you. For the sake of the environment, we ask you not to litter the trail and to leave it as you would like it. You will find rubbish bins at several places around the trail.

I am afraid of heights, will I be able to enjoy the experience?

The width of the trail is 8 feet (2.5 meters).

The majority of visitors who are afraid of heights climb to the top of the panoramic tower and are surprised at how much they do not feel the fear of heights. Their comments all point in the same direction: they feel safe and the pleasure of the experience overcomes the vertigo.

Some of them even manage to walk on the net hanging from the top of the tower.

What should I bring?

Bring comfortable clothes adapted to the season.

In summer, remember to bring a hat, mosquito repellent and sunscreen.

And don’t forget warm clothes because it can get cold at the top of the panoramic tower.

What should I wear? Can we do the ascent with sandals?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for the season.

It is possible to access the Sentier des cimes in sandals or high heels, but not ideal!

Is there a weight limit?

None at all! The trail is safe for everyone.

he Sentier des cimes is located on the magnificent heritage site of the old fish farm of Saint-Faustin, in the municipality of Mont-Blanc in the Laurentians.

How to get to the Sentier des cimes ?

The Sentier des cimes is located near Route 117 (Trans-Canada Highway) between Mont-Tremblant and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, along the P’tit Train du Nord bike path. Link to our access and parking page.

Are there disabled toilets on the Sentier des cimes Laurentides?

Restrooms for the mobility impaired are located on the first floor and on the second floor.

How do I get an annual pass?

The annual pass is individual and is printed with your photo.

You can purchase it online here, you will then receive a confirmation email. The annual pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

You can then go to the ticket office with your confirmation email to take your photo which will be printed on the card.

How long is my annual pass valid for?

The annual pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified.

To purchase an annual pass, the purchaser must come to the Sentier des cimes ticket office with proof of identity to have their photo taken and obtain their card.

When is my annual pass active?

Your annual pass is valid from the day of purchase.

Do all members of my family have to pick up our annual family pass together?

Yes, since the annual pass is individual and is printed with each adult’s photo, you must all come to the ticket office to purchase it.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay by cash, debit card or credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).

How do I make a reservation?

How do I access the trail with my electronic ticket?

With your electronic ticket, you will enter the walkway directly, with no additional wait time at the ticket office.

There is no need to exchange your electronic ticket at the ticket office. Simply bring your electronic ticket on your smart phone (or in print).

Do I have to print my electronic ticket?

No, it’s not necessary at all: let’s preserve the environment!

You can simply present your electronic ticket at the ticketing fast line on your smartphone.

How do I print my electronic ticket?

If you wish to print your tickets, you can use the PDF document attached to your confirmation email.

Is black and white printing sufficient?

Yes, the important thing is that the barcode is clearly readable. Make sure there is enough ink in the printer.

Can I have tickets delivered by mail?

No, tickets are only available in digital format.

What happens if I buy my ticket in advance and my plans change?

Electronic tickets are non-refundable. Your ticket is dated and will expire if it is not validated on the day of your scheduled visit.

Does the electronic ticket allow me a quick access to the Sentier des cimes?

A dedicated ticket office is available for electronic tickets.

However, on weekends and during the vacations, we can expect an increase in the number of visitors and longer waiting times at the entrance.

No deadline!

You can even order your electronic ticket while you are in the queue and present it directly at the ticket office.

Is the electronic ticket transferable?

Electronic tickets are transferable within the same category (children, adults, discounted rates). However, commercial resale is prohibited.

Of course, each electronic ticket can only be used once.

What type of tickets can I order?

On our online ticket service here, you can order dated tickets in all individual categories.

For discounted tickets, an ID will be requested on site for verification.

I can’t find my electronic ticket, what can I do?

If you have deleted or lost your order confirmation, you can email us at boutique@sentierdescimes.ca.

We will be happy to resend your electronic ticket to you.

I am severely disabled and must be accompanied. How can I get a free ticket for my companion?

A companion who has a Companion Leisure Card (CAL) or an Access 2 companion card or any other official card will not have to pay an admission fee.

The person with limited mobility will have to pay their own admission fee corresponding to their category.

Can I leave the Walkway and return later that day?

No: your admission ticket allows you to access the walkway once. You can choose an annual pass if you wish to repeat the experience.

Can I upgrade my ticket to an annual pass?

You can exchange your admission ticket for an annual pass at the end of your visit, the same day.

You simply need to go to the ticket office and pay the difference between the cost of your admission ticket and the annual pass.

There are changing areas in the toilets located at the entrance of the Sentier des cimes.

What type of food and beverages does your restaurant offer?

Cafeteria-style service. A varied menu of hot meals, sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks.
