Bavarian Forest

Together with other protected areas in the three-border region, the Bavarian Forest National Park and its Czech counterpart, the Šumava National Park form the largest contiguous forest landscape in Central Europe – or also known as the green roof of our continent. And right in the middle of it all: The Treetop Walk Bavarian Forest, which opens up a unique view of this natural treasure and its inhabitants.

Chemin des Cimes Alsace

The Northern Vosges Nature Park is home to a mystical forest, hills, peat bogs and shy inhabitants such as deer, lynxes and tits: Therefore, it is not surprising that the Vosges du Nord Nature Park is a natural heritage rich in species. And all this in a region that was fought over heavily for a long time – majestic ruins of castles and military installations are silent witnesses. Today, Alsace is a cultural and ecological treasure. In the middle of it all: The Treetop Walk Alsace, which brings its treasures to be experienced on new paths.

Pot med krošnjami Pohorje

The Treetop Walk Pohorje passes through the forests in Rogla, Slovenia’s natural treasure in terms of nature and outdoor experiences. This architecturally challenging wooden construction southwest of Maribor leads you gently upwards over the treetops. The highlight is its 37-metre high lookout tower with a nine-cornered floor plan, from whose platform large parts of Slovenia can be seen as far as into neighbouring countries. Already during the walk along the trail, which is up to 20 metres high, you get impressive panoramas over large parts of the heavily forested north of Slovenia all the way to the Julian Alps.

Der Baumwipfelpfad Pohorje befindet sich im slowenischen Gebierge Rogla und bietet einen hervorragenden Ausblick.

Chodník korunami stromov Bachledka

In the Slovakian part of the High Tatras, you will find a 32-metre-high observation tower that offers a 360-degree view of the world’s smallest alpine type mountains, the Slovakian lowlands located south of the Tatras, and the Malopolska Voivodeship. The complete route of the trail is clearly visible from the tower platform, as it continues to find its way at treetop level or above through the mountain mixed forest. The 75m² walkable net in the middle of the tower’s top platform makes the height reachable and causes hearts to beat faster!

Beyond the Trees Avondale

South of Dublin, the 500-hectare Avondale Forest Park is the home of Ireland’s first Treetop Walk, which guides visitors up into the crowns of more than 100 tree species. Between trail and lookout tower, the path descends into the ground: a tunnel shows the habitats between the roots.
The fully accessible, 1,440-metre-long Treetop Walk Avondale invites explorers young and old to take a walk. The 38-metre high observation tower offers a unique view over the Wicklow Mountains. A huge highlight for brave visitors is the 90-metre-long tunnel slide in the middle of the trail.
