The Treetop Walk is located right next to Saarland’s landmark – the Saarschleife. This unique natural spectacle is a must-see during your stay in Saarland. The Treetop Walk Saarschleife is comfortably accessible by car or coach. It is also possible to get there by public transport.

Taking the bus or train to Treetop Walk Saarschleife
Travelling to Orscholz by public transport is possible from Monday to Friday (and with restrictions at weekends) using bus line 250 from Merzig. Get the bus off at the station “Cloef, Orscholz Mettlach”. From there it’s approximately a 5-minute walk to the entrance of the trail. Please check with the local public transport service for information on timetables before starting your journey.

In close distance to the Treetop Walk Saarschleife, you will find well signposted parking areas. These are public and subject to a charge. You may use them for all the surrounding attractions, including your visit to the Treetop Walk.

Parking for coaches and motorhomes
You are planning a group trip or touring with a camper van? Parking spaces for coaches and motorhomes are located close to the trail. Coaches may use car park P1, for which a fee is charged. Camper vans can park at the Saarschleife Rehab Clinic. Unfortunately, there are no supply and waste disposal facilities provided there. The local authority asks for your patience in this matter. Alternatively, there is a parking area near the Abbey Brewery in Mettlach with facilities for supply and disposal.

Children under the age of 14 need an adult supervisor.
For children, we offer the Comic Rallye across the Treetop Walk. The comic boards with statements about nature and the countryside, specially installed for our younger guests, explain biodiversity topics in a playful manner.
The comic booklet, which can be purchased at the ticket office, is an accompanying booklet for the Treetop Walk. It raises questions that can be answered by reading and looking at the panels on the trail.
The path and tower do not have any steps, so you can even take baby carriages up the 40-metre-high lookout tower with you. We have a family rate for families.

You are welcome to rent a wheelchair or walker after prior reservation by phone at +49 6865 18 64 81 0. This service is free of charge, all you have to do is leave a valid photo ID as deposit at the cash desk. Please note that on busy days all wheelchairs or walkers may already be taken.
