the Treetop Walk Usedom has been shining in a very special light

Visitors of the Treetop Walk in the seaside resort of Heringsdorf can expect an enchanting highlight this winter. Hundreds of thousands of gentle lights will decorate the path and observation tower. Illuminated scenes and 3D installations will make the hearts of our young and old guests beat faster.

You can experience the Night Lights on the Treetop Walk Usedom until 2 March 2025. Special opening hours apply during this time, which you can find in detail below. On the days with the Night Lights, the Treetop Walk will open between 13:00 and 20:00, with the lights being switched on from dusk, but no earlier than 16:00.

The regular admission prices apply for the Night Lights. You can purchase tickets as usual at the ticket office on site or via the online ticket shop. Annual tickets are of course valid.

You need to know that

How many LEDs were installed?

Over 300,000 LEDs were installed.

These are located in the fairy lights along the handrail and in the 2-D and 3-D light elements. The fairy lights are several kilometres long.

Naturally, we use state-of-the-art and therefore energy-saving technology. Sustainability is a key principle for the Treetop Walk Usedom and for Erlebnis Akademie AG (eak). For this reason, we have dealt intensively with this issue in advance. Energy consumption was a decisive criterion. This is around 4 kilowatt hours per day. That is about the same amount as a person consumes in a private household.

Is there an impact on forest animals?

The Night Lihgts have no negative effects on the animals in the forest.

In preparation for the winter highlight, we held discussions with the responsible district forester, a landscape ecologist and the nature conservation authority. The result of this consultation is the use of a warm white, gentle light with very low light emissions. In addition, the low temperatures in the winter months prevent insect activity. The flight activities of bats start later and the breeding season of native birds only begins with the foliage.

In order to allow the animals in the forest a natural light break, the opening hours of the Night Lights are limited. We close the Treetop Walk every evening at 20:00 and switch off all the lights.

Is the restaurant open?

Our restaurant is open.

The opening hours of our in-house restaurant, the ‘Futterkrippe’, are based on the opening hours of the Treetop Walk. Regardless of whether you come on a day with or without the Night Lights, you can stop by for a hot meal, a small snack or a drink.

The opening hours of our shop have also been adapted. So you can look for a small souvenir or gift at any time.
