We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs* and any kind of animals are unfortunately not allowed inside the Adventure Forest.

Alongside the hygiene aspect, the safety aspect for the children plays a major role in the prohibition of animals. Most responsible owners keep a close eye on their animals, but dogs can still show unexpected social behaviour towards strangers and also towards members of their own species.

*Exception: disabled companion dogs and care assistance dogs.

The Adventure playground at the Treetop Walk Black Forest is an ideal one-day trip destination for the entire family. We suggest you plan a few hours or maybe even a whole day for your visit.

Our Futterkrippe kiosk at the entrance to the Adventure Forest offers light meals, ice cream and refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic. We have placed the seating in a way that you can keep an eye on the playground equipment at all times.

During the season, the Adventure Forest on the Sommerberg is also open in case of rain.

We only reserve the authority to close the adventure forest for safety reasons in the event of thunderstorms, hail or storms. If we will have to do so at short notice, we will inform you on our website as well as on Facebook and Instagram. We recommend checking again on the day of your visit before you leave!

We are always striving to keep prices as affordable as possible in order to enable as many people as possible to have a chance to visit. Nevertheless, we are still a private company that does not receive any financial support for the operation and maintenance of the Adventure Forest, which means that we have to calculate our pricing in an economically reasonable way.

For families, groups and for annual passes, we offer discounted fees. The costs for a visit to the Adventure Forest Sommerberg are quite competitive to other leisure activities, such as climbing parks or a visit to the cinema.

Moreover, the Adventure Forest is not just an ordinary playground. This is what makes it outstanding:

• Its sheer size: at 8,000 square metres, the Adventure Forest Sommerberg is one of the largest outdoor playgrounds in the entire Black Forest.
• Participate instead of watching: The playground equipment is constructed especially to allow parents to join in. This is where childhood dreams come true – even if childhood was actually a while ago – and new family bonding takes place.
• Unique playing elements: Our playing and learning stations are designed and built especially for the Adventure Forest Sommerberg. Where possible, they are made of untreated wood, so that they fit in perfectly with the surrounding forest.
• Our philosophy: Learning through fun. In addition to offering plenty of space to let loose, a variety of learning stations, familiar from the Treetop Walk, provide insights into topics related to the forest and environmental protection in a light-hearted way.

You can buy tickets directly at the entry gate or in our online ticket shop. If you buy your ticket online, you may save yourself waiting times at the entrance.

You don’t have to. To protect our environment, simply show your ticket on your smartphone at the terminal. In that case, we kindly recommend that you download the ticket to avoid problems with poor mobile phone reception..

Free tickets are unfortunately not redeemable in the ticket shop, and can only be converted into an admission ticket directly at the ticket offices on the Adventure Forest.

Our online tickets are day-dated and only valid on the chosen day of the visit. Please note the opening hours at the Adventure Forest Sommerberg.

We cannot refund online tickets. Please note that the day-dated online ticket will expire if you do not redeem it on the booked date!

It is possible to replace a ticket to another date only once and free of charge in the ticket shop.

Online tickets are transferable within the same ticket category (children, adults, reduced). Resale for commercial purposes, in any case, is prohibited. Each online ticket can only be used once.
