Dog

Can I bring my dog?

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs and other animals are unfortunately not allowed on the walkway of Sentier des cimes (with the exception of assistance dogs*).
This rule is primarily for the safety and well-being of everyone:

  • the walkway is narrow and elevated, which can be stressful for some animals;
  • unpredictable behavior, even if rare, can put the animal or visitors at risk;
  • there is no space to retreat in case of fear or reaction.

Good news! Your four-legged companion is welcome on the grounds of the Ancienne-Pisciculture:

  • on the pedestrian trails surrounding the Ancienne-Pisciculture,
  • in the adjacent park,
  • and on the outdoor terrace of our restaurant Chez Émile.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

*Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted at all times. For assistance dogs, individuals accompanied by their dog must provide documentation from a health professional attesting to their need (due to a disability, medical condition, or mental health condition) and the usefulness of the animal to meet that need. They must also provide information and documentation regarding the animal’s behavior and any risk it may present in a public space such as Sentier des cimes Laurentides (https://www.cdpdj.qc.ca/en/your-obligations/prohibited-grounds/handicap-animaux).
